Secure connection for high retaining walls

With higher retaining walls, subsidence of the subsoil, changes in joint width, or movements of individual elements can lead to undesirable displacements. This creates tensile and compressive forces that act on the connection of the components.

The BGW retaining wall shear and tension safety system offers a reliable solution for this. Using a galvanized, toothed flat steel strap, adjacent elements are connected to each other on the rear side. The system absorbs occurring tensile and compressive forces and supports protection against displacement and tilting movements.

Sophisticated design for flexible applications

The toothed safety strap, in combination with the counter plate and the slotted hole, allows for a stepped height offset of the retaining walls of approx. 140 mm.

Fastening is carried out using screws with a Ø 12 mm. The specially coordinated toothing ensures a reliable connection of the individual components.

Easy installation – with or without drilling

The safety strap is mounted on the rear of the retaining wall below the subsequent backfill height. The connection is made via a toothed counter plate, which is positioned on the slotted hole and screwed to the safety strap.

Particularly practical: If the required fastening holes are already provided during the manufacture of the retaining walls, subsequent drilling on the construction site is no longer necessary. Installation can therefore take place directly via the prepared fastening points.
